The scene

BTS's 2017 “Spring Day” music video opens at this small country station: V waits alone on the snowy platform under the “Iryeong” sign, then steps down onto the tracks and puts his ear to the rail. The station had no passenger trains back then; it reopened in January 2025 on the Gyooe (Suburban) Line.

How to get there
Take Seoul Subway Line 3 (or the Gyeongui–Jungang Line) to Daegok Station, then the Gyooe Line Mugunghwa train to Iryeong (25 min, 2,600 won). You can also board at Uijeongbu Station (Line 1; 29 min). There are only about 9–10 trains a day in each direction, and on weekdays nothing leaves Daegok between about 14:20 and 18:30, so check the times and buy your ticket in the Korail Talk app before you go. From central Seoul, allow about 1 hr–1 hr 15 min of travel, plus waiting time for the train.
Tip
The line is in service again, so stay well back from the platform edge and never step onto the tracks — recreate the MV with the faded blue “Iryeong” station sign and the old slate-roofed station building instead. A snowy winter day looks the most like the video. There's no admission fee. Since August 2025 the station has had a small tourist information center with a mini railway museum of old equipment from the line. The station also appears in the 2001 film My Sassy Girl. Trains are infrequent, so plan your visit around the return train; Jangheung Sculpture Park and Songam Space Center are nearby.

Checked on October 7, 2026. Hours and fees can change, so check the official site before you go. In Korea, Google Maps can’t give walking or driving directions — Naver Map or Kakao Map work best.
