The scene

In Netflix's 2025 medical drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Ju Ji-hoon plays a battle-hardened trauma surgeon brought in to lead a struggling trauma team, opposite Choo Young-woo; the series reached No. 1 on Netflix's global non-English TV chart. According to the hospital, the crew filmed here from May to November 2023, using the building's exterior, the lobby, the emergency center entrance and the 4th-floor healing garden as the fictional Hankuk University Hospital.

How to get there
Take Seoul Subway Line 5 to Balsan Station. Beside Exit 8 there is an underground passage that leads straight into the hospital's basement level (B1), so you never have to go outside. From Gwanghwamun Station on the same line it is about 35–40 minutes; from Gimpo Airport it is three stops (about 6 minutes). Search 이대서울병원 or 공항대로 260 in a map app (Naver Map or KakaoMap work best in Korea).
Bus
Every route below stops at Balsan Station (Balsan Station intersection): regular 60, 60-3, 69, 88, 1002; branch 6629, 6630, 6632, 6645, 6648, 6712; village bus Gangseo 06; trunk 601, 605, 654, N26, N65; seat buses 3000 and 8000; and airport buses 6000, 6003 and 6008. From Line 9 Deungchon Station Exit 1, buses 654, 605, 60-3 or 88 bring you to Balsan Station.
From Incheon Airport
Airport limousine bus 6003 runs from Incheon Airport to the Balsan Station stop next to the hospital; from Gimpo Airport, bus 6000 serves the same stop.
Tip
This is a working hospital, so treat it like one: entry is free, but keep your voice down, never photograph patients or staff, skip the tripod and stay well clear of the emergency center entrance, where ambulances pull in. For a shot of the building, step back onto the wide sidewalk of Gonghang-daero; inside, the lobby, known for not looking like a hospital at all, is the part fans recognize. The same hospital was also a filming spot for tvN's Hospital Playlist (2020). Weekday late afternoons, after the morning clinic rush, are the calmest.
Plan your visit
A visit takes 30 to 45 minutes. A free shuttle links this hospital with Ewha Mokdong Hospital via Sinmokdong Station (Exits 3 and 2), with the first run at 07:00 and the last at 17:35 from the Seoul hospital, though times can shift with traffic. A separate parking guide is on the hospital website, and the main phone is 1522-7000. Because the airport bus stops here, it makes an easy first or last stop of a Korea trip.

Checked on October 15, 2026; confirm on the official site before you go.
