tvN's 2026 romantic comedy Spring Fever, starring Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin, was shot entirely on location in Pohang, and the city lists this seaside square, home of the giant bronze Hands of Harmony, among its filming spots. The show follows a Seoul teacher who moves to a small coastal town and a rough but kind-hearted local; according to CJ ENM, it hit No. 1 on Prime Video in countries including Indonesia and Brazil.

- How to get there
- Take the KTX from Seoul Station to Pohang Station (about 2 hr 30 min). From the station, city bus 9000 goes to the 해맞이광장(호미곶) stop beside the square about every 40–45 minutes. It winds through central Pohang, Jukdo Market and Guryongpo, so allow 1 hr 30 min to 2 hr. A taxi from Pohang Station takes roughly 50 minutes. Check live times in Naver Map or KakaoMap and search 호미곶 해맞이광장.

- , take AREX to Seoul Station, then the KTX to Pohang. Including the long bus ride out to the cape.
- Tip
- Free and open year-round. The photo everyone wants is the bronze right hand rising about 8.5 m out of the sea. Come at sunrise, when the sun comes up beside the fingers and seagulls often perch on the fingertips; the matching left hand stands on the plaza. Homigot is one of Korea's most famous sunrise spots, and from December 31 into January 1 the square hosts a huge New Year sunrise festival, so expect crowds and traffic then. The 1908 Homigot Lighthouse and the National Lighthouse Museum are a short walk away, and the canola field near the entrance blooms around April–May. Bus 9000 also stops at Jukdo Market, Guryongpo and Seokbyeong-ri, which Pohang also names as Spring Fever locations.

- Spend one to two hours. Besides the two bronze Hands of Coexistence, the plaza keeps an eternal-flame urn that holds the last light of the old millennium and the first light of 2000, a statue of the legendary couple Yeonorang and Seonyeo, and a sunlight-collecting device. Along the coastal road is a monument to Yi Yuk-sa's poem Cheongpodo, and the Homigot coastal terraces belong to a national geopark. The New Millennium Memorial Hall sits by the plaza, and the area is accessible for wheelchair users.
