The scene

In BTS's 2016 music video for “Epilogue: Young Forever,” the members run down a wide, empty strip of pavement under an open sky; Korean newspapers identify it as this old military runway in Jecheon (around 2:20–2:40 in the video). ARMY have treated it as a pilgrimage spot ever since, and the city, which bought the runway in early 2026, keeps it open as a public walking space.

Getting there

Jecheon Airfield Runway (Mosan Airfield, BTS “Epilogue: Young Forever” MV location) 제천비행장 활주로 (모산비행장, 방탄소년단 영 포에버 촬영지)

Show this to a taxi driver제천비행장 활주로 (모산비행장, 방탄소년단 영 포에버 촬영지)충청북도 제천시 의림대로42길 34 (의림지동행정복지센터) 앞 제천비행장 활주로 일대 (지번 고암동 1179-1)
How to get there
Take the KTX-Eum from Cheongnyangni Station in Seoul to Jecheon Station (about 1 hr 5 min to 1 hr 15 min). From Jecheon Station a taxi takes about 10 minutes. Ask for 제천비행장, or for 의림지동행정복지센터, the community center right in front of the runway. Local buses run toward Uirimji Reservoir but are infrequent, so check live routes in Naver Map or KakaoMap. Drivers can use the airfield's parking lots (search 제천비행장 주차장).
Bus
From Jecheon Bus Terminal, city buses 31 and 35 (toward Semyung Univ. back gate) go to the Uirimji (의림지) stop; from there it is a short walk to the reservoir, and the airfield lies just south of it.
From Incheon Airport
take the AREX to Seoul Station, then Line 1 or a taxi to Cheongnyangni for the KTX-Eum to Jecheon.
Hours
Open all year round as a public walking space; there are no gates or set opening hours.
Admission
Free, and parking around the airfield is free as well.
Tip
Free, with no ticket gate. This is a city walking space, not a theme park, so facilities are basic. For the MV look, stand on the straight concrete runway, more than 1 km long, and shoot down its length; late-afternoon light works best. In past years the city has planted flower fields beside it: sunflowers in late summer and pink muhly and cosmos in autumn. In winter 2025–26 it ran a sled slope on the runway. Locals walk, jog and cycle here, so keep to one side and don't block the path. Local festivals sometimes take over the site, so check before you go. Uirimji, one of Korea's oldest reservoirs, is about five minutes away by car.
Plan your visit
An hour on the runway is enough for photos and a stroll, longer in flower season when sunflowers, zinnias and pink muhly bloom beside the tarmac. The city's official tourism site promotes a walking course that links the Samhan Green Path, Mosan Airfield and Uirimji, so you can walk on to the reservoir (about five minutes by car). At Uirimji note that Yongchu Falls and the fountain shut on Mondays, and the reservoir has its own free car park and tourist information centre (043-651-7101).

Checked on October 20, 2026; confirm on the official site before you go.
